Asad U. Shah
President and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Asad U. Shah has over 20 years experience in technology and international consultancy, working with UN agencies, public and private sectors.  His forte is electronic trade facilitation, e-commerce, e-government and education. He is the inventor of a remote programming and QoC tool that allows Paplion Technologies LLC to develop enterprise class applications in less then 1/3 the time. Paplion currently boasts a developer base of over 16000 hi-end programmers. He is also the CEO of Schmetterling Technologies, a software firm that offers stock market solutions to many of the world’s stock market bourses and Google. Dr. Shah is the Chairman of the Board of the UN’s International Commission on Workforce Development and one of the 9 members of the Strategy Council of the United Nations Global Alliance on ICT & Development. A social entrepreneur who not only recognized the barriers to education and ICT in the developing countries but provided new ways to give free access to the highest quality content and skills for 21st century employment to the underprivileged countries. Dr. Shah has also provided real life and tangible technological solutions to meet the UN’s Millennium Development Goals. 

Mrs. Sadaf Shah
Senior Vice President of Marketing – SMB, Public Sector, and Alliance Partners

Mrs. Shah is an accomplished marketing professional with over 12 years of professional and academic experience.  She is the former Country head for Trade Info Net and Project Coordinator for Time Life Inc. (a division of Time Warner AOL) in Pakistan. In addition to her position as Secretary, Mrs. Shah holds the portfolio of Director of Strategic Alliances with ICWFD. She also sits on the board of RESCUE an NGO focused on Education and poverty alleviation. She received a Masters degree in Business Administration from Punjab University in Lahore, Pakistan, and Bachelors of Arts degrees from Kinnaird College in Lahore, Pakistan.

Richard A. Schazaer
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

As the Chief Financial Officer, Mr.  Schazaer is responsible for the executive management and oversight of Paplion’s accounting, finance, treasury, and corporate development areas. Prior to joining  Paplion in January 2004, Mr.  Schazaer was formerly Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Tricon, a New York Stock Exchange publicly-traded company. He joined Tricon in 1996 and has had extensive experience in finance and accounting, including SEC reporting, operational finance, tax, audit, procurement, and investor relations. Prior to this, he spent eight years in public accounting. Mr.  Schazaer holds a Master’s degree in Accountancy from University of Texas and he is a Certified Public Accountant. In addition, he holds both a law degree and a master of law in taxation from Yale.

Edgar M. Samuels
Senior Vice President - Information Technology & Chief Information Officer

As Senior Vice President of Information Technology & Chief Information Officer, Mr.  Samuels directs the management, operation and development of all information technology (IT) systems within Paplion. Prior to joining  Paplion in March 2005, Mr.  Samuels was the Vice President of IT Shared Services for ASC, a $4 billion provider of IT and business process outsourcing services. He also served at Ingram for 15 years in various positions including Corporate Vice President of IT Strategy and Operations and Corporate Vice President of Global Application Development and Technology. Mr.  Samuels holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Caltech.

Susan Griffith
Senior Vice President - Services Delivery

As the Senior Vice President of Services, Ms. Griffith is responsible for the executive management and oversight of Paplion’s service delivery and operational excellence initiatives. A senior strategist and tactical operations leader with over 20 years of IT experience, she leads the development and management of IT strategies and business plans for  Paplion’s professional and outsourcing services to deliver world class IT solutions. Ms. Griffith has held management and executive positions in sales, marketing, and service delivery for a number of Silicon Valley firms. Ms. Griffith holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Purdue University and joined  Paplion in August of 2005.

Richard B. Aarons
Senior Vice President of Sales – Enterprise and Strategic Engagements

As Senior Vice President of Sales Mr.  Aarons is focused on the strategic growth of Paplion’s unique position in the enterprise and outsourcing markets. Mr.  Aarons has over 21 years experience in technology operations, complex solution design and business development across an extensive industry spectrum. Prior to joining Paplion in August 2006, he spent 9 years with Kane, Inc. where he led application outsourcing initiatives. Mr. Aarons holds Bachelors of Arts, in Business Management from University of Kentucky and a Masters degree in Technology Management, from the University of Maryland.
